Governor opened the festival itself Jabar Ahmad Heryawan. In his speech, Heryawan invite all stakeholders to develop the tourism potential of West Java. "God has bestowed on us the beauty of nature and must be thankful with better management so that presents a good thing for society," said Heryawan, Saturday (07/10/2010).
Heryawan further added that the tourism sector has a crucial role in creating jobs and increasing economic growth. For that, he hoped West Java Kite Festival can be packed more interesting attractions include the present or the art of other cultures so that the crowd doubled in Pangandaran. Ciamis Regent Engkon Komara said, in the year 2009 there were at least 38 thousand tourists visited Pangandaran Beach. He hopes, the activities of national, even international, held in Pangandaran, would increase tourist visits.
